Sally East worked for 15 years as a freelance career coach predominantly for an organisation that provides assessments and coaching for young people in schools to help them to make decisions relating to A levels, Further and Higher Education, and careers. She has also worked with adults looking for career transitions helping individuals to gain an insight into these relating to the work environment.

Her background of teaching in pre and post compulsory education within a largely widening participation environment has enabled her to help individuals explore their skills, interests and their own personality, and to maximise this within their career choice.

Sally is now enjoying writing and editing career material and exploring further in areas such as multigenerational working and boundaryless careers. She has a particular interest in the working population who are over 50 years of age, considering how to break down ageism in the workplace and how individuals can navigate strategies for doing this. She has recently co-edited a book on this subject and is looking to expand the conversation further.
